Excursion to the "7th International Fermi Symposium"
"IB Physics students" participated in leading scientific conference
On 17 October the "IB Physics students" took part in the
7th International Fermi Symposium
in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, accompanied by PH-teacher Klaus Reitberger, PhD.
The Symposium is a regularly recurring scientific platform (organized in Washington, DC and Nagoya, Japan in recent years). Leading experts and researchers exchanged their latest findings, which were gained from the Fermi space telescope.
The excursion included, alongside the specialist input, the unique opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the international world of research.
The finishing highlight of the day was the lecture given by Dan Shechtman (Israel Institute of Technology) at the University of Innsbruck.
